Carnegie Mellon University for Artificial Intelligence
Too many individuals, Artificial Intelligence means many things. But we recognise that we have a responsibility to research and establish new frontiers in AI at Carnegie Mellon, the location where AI was discovered more than half a century ago. We do not take the responsibility lightly.
CMU AI unites our interdisciplinary research and education activities in the area of artificial intelligence to create an AI strategy for the world. To pioneer ways of making AI safer. To establish the autonomy of a human-centered operating system. It provides the critical mass of talented human minds, state-of-the-art testing facilities and financial capital required to develop inventions that are going to change the world for the better.
Courses for A.I:-
Undergraduate Programs:-
Post Graduate Programs:-
BSAI PROGRAM:-
The BSAI software provides you with the in-depth expertise you need to turn vast quantities of information into prosecutable decisions. The programme and its curriculum concentrate on how complicated inputs can be used to make decisions or develop human skills, such as vision, language and large databases. In computer science, arithmetic, statistics, computer modelling, machine learning and symbolic computation, the curriculum includes coursework. Because CMU is committed to AI for the social good, in areas such as healthcare, transport and education, you can also take courses in ethics and social responsibility, with the option to engage in independent research projects that change the world for the better.
When you’re graduating from a B.S. You will have the computer science knowledge and skills that our students are renowned for in AI from SCS, with the additional experience in machine learning and operations research that you will need to develop tomorrow’s AI.
MSAI Program:-
The master’s degree programme in Artificial Intelligence and Engineering lets you find potential applications for artificial intelligence and develop and adapt AI solutions to large practical problems. Students work in teams to implement AI systems responsive to market needs.
Process for applying:-
The BSAI programme is reserved exclusively for current and potential SCS students, so you first need to be admitted into the Computer Science Course. You should announce a BSAI major in the spring of your first year until you’re at Carnegie Mellon and enrolled in SCS. The curriculum can initially handle a total of about 100 students, or about 30-35 from each class
AI Safe Lab:-
AT CARNEGIE MELLON UNIVERSITY RESEARCH LABORATORY
In the face of the unknown, complex, time-varying, multiple robots, and likely human-involved world by bridging statistics and cybernetics, the Secure AI Lab at CMU aims to establish accurate, explainable, verifiable and good-for-all artificial intelligent learning methods for robotics. For its studies on autonomous / connected cars and smart cities, the lab is recognised nationally and globally. As well as the National Science Foundation, the Department of Transportation, the Department of Energy, and the City of Pittsburgh, the lab has collaborated with many firms, including Uber, Bosch, Denso, and Toyota.
